Abstract

This article deals with how Hafs bin Ghayyat has discussed the Jarh and its various types, while comparing these types; he cites the statements of the imams regarding Jarh. He considers twelve narrators. The study shows its modern and critical position, its category among the critics, its characteristics, and the category of the Jarh.
