Abstract

Islam demarcates between permissible and forbidden things to be consumed by humans as food in Quran and Sunnah. The Covid-19 pandemic is also speculated to be caused by the consumption of non-permissible food-items in Islam. In this article a review of Halal (lawful) and Haram (unlawful) foods in the light of Islamic Shariah is given.
