Abstract

Mulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi (1280-1302 AH) was a prominent scholar of Deoband school of thought. His services for Islam is unforgettable. He wrote 800 books in his life. He was a great Sufi/saintly figure of his time with a command over Islamic jurisprudence. He compiled valuable fatawa named "Imdad ul-Fatawa”. In this fatawa he has discussed different fields of fiqh, Imdad ul-Fatawa a well-known book of fatwa in Deoband School of thought.
