Abstract
This study examines the life of Imam Muhammad ibn ‘Awf Al-Himsi, highlighting his status and contributions to the science of Hadith in general and to the field of Al-Jarh wa Al-Ta'dil (criticism and praise) in particular. It explores his methodology in evaluating narrators by compiling his dispersed statements from various works of Al-Jarh wa Al-Ta'dil and comparing them with the opinions of other critics. The aim is to assess the extent of agreement or disagreement between him and his peers, ultimately identifying the distinctive characteristics of his approach to the criticism of narrators.
