Abstract
Islam provides comprehensive principles and guidance for all aspects of life, including medicine. These guidelines ensure the well-being of humanity in both this world and the hereafter. Islamic teachings cover the concept, importance, types, and ethics of medicine, as well as medical research.Imam Muhammad ibn Ismail al-Bukhari (d. 256 AH), in his Sahih al-Bukhari, dedicated a section titled Kitab al-Tibb (The Book of Medicine), addressing diverse topics related to medicine under well-structured chapters. The study comprises two main sections:An analysis of the concept, significance, and ethics of medicine.A systematic discussion of medical ethics derived from Kitab al-Tibb.This study highlights Imam Bukhari's meticulous approach and the ethical principles extracted from the hadiths in the context of medical practice.
